Wow, haven't posted in forever

Geez, I can't believe this!! My poor KK! I'm listening to GC's "SOS"! Great song (but don't tell anyone). The last month has been so busy, as you know what with my Anthropology paper, millions of French hw, etc etc. It sucked, but it has flown by. I don't think I wrote to you about Halloween yet, wtf!!

So, I was a princess, as you know, and Carl was Zeke the Plumber like a creeper. We went to Amanda's from work for a little bit and then walked to her friend's party. She said it was a short walk, which was important because it was freezing (you saw my outfit), plus I had 4 1/2 inch heels on. It ended up being far far far farrrrr away. It sucked. But we finally made it there (me, Carl, Tim O., Tom, and Amanda n her roommates). And we were faced with a crossdresser right away. A guy was dressed up like a Catholic schoolgirl -- it looked just like Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby One More Time" video (which by the way according to Rina's facebook, it is her 28th bday today, I thought you might want to know). It was mad strange as well as disgusting lol.

Then I got hit on by this dumb guy that tries hitting on me everytime we see him with the same lines oh my god. And Carl and Tom just walked away!! I was like, excuse me?! Save me?! And Tim was just standing next to me watching. TIM!!!!!!!!!!! I somehow freed myself and yelled at them all.

Then we had to walk all the way back to Amanda's to get Carl's car, but Carl forgot part of his costume at the other house, so me and Tim and Tom waited at a street corner for Carl to run back and find it. While we were waiting, we were freezing, so I was huddling close to a building to stay out of the wind. And then a copper pulled up. He asked if we were ok and we said ya we are just waiting for our friend cuz he forgot something. Then the copper looked at me and said "Are you ok, miss?" I was like, ya I'm good, a little cold though. And he got really serious and was like, really serious sounding "Miss, are you ok" he said it all slow, like he was implying that I didn't know Tim and Tom and that they were gonna attack me!! I was like, these are my friends don't worry, and he drove off. We were laughing so hard lol.

Then we went to Tim K.'s apartment, where someone (not saying names cuz this will be posted on the internet) may have knocked down the fence behind the parking lot. It wasn't Carl or myself, don't worry. Everyone except for Tim K. thought it was funny. Ooooops.

So that was that.

I have been working 30 hours a week lately. And 35 last week for Black Friday woohoo. 12 hour shift 7-7 then n then on Saturday 9-6:45. Gayyyy. Then I went to Shannans's confirmation, which can I say you should not be sad you missed. The bishop said as I walked in that he is known for giving long confirmation ceremonies, and I was just like, "fuck my life". Cuz I had gotten a 5-day pass to Anytime Fitness right across from Sears and I wanted to go cuz I only had Sat n Sunday left on it cuz I decided not to go Thanksgiving or Black Friday as I had just worked a long-ass shift. So I wanted to go but had to open at work the next morning so I wanted to go early, by like 930 or 10. But the dumb thing finally ended at 9 (7-9, wtf??) n we had some nummy Kosada (sp??) cake n coffee and then I went with Carl to the gym. I loved it -- I went on the eliptical machine!! I think I'll join, although the membership fee is expensive. I have to put like 300 $ down for this deal they have so after I pay that, I'm only paying $10 a month forever. And Carl owes me money so he'd pay like 150 of it he said. So I think I'll give them a call sometime this week and do that.

I also have to pick up my dumb contacts and glasses (I got new ones, they're pretty).

I'm gonna go now, though, cuz I've been doing this so I don't have to do my hw. Lol, plus I realized I hadn't posted anything in a while. And I do apologize for it! You can hit me if you want to!

Luvvies,
me!!

Shannon again

So, this weekend is going to be a hectic one. I have PSATs way early tomorrow morning and my confirmation retreat on Sunday early in the morning until 3:30. Uck. Then on Monday I still have an hour and a half confirmation class, not fair. So, I've gotten half of my written homework done already and my reading homework won't be bad at all, since none of it is from the text books. Oh come on, mother is back with pizza and I JUST began this blog.
Oh well.
So we started the Great Gatsby in english, though i'm only on page 8. Um it was snowing yesterday!!! Exciting =D it's only 42 here currently. Ohpe, there goes mocha rushing to the food.
Today amers came over after school. We walked to subway and then to Orchard Perks. The coffee was incredible! We had a PSAT study session, which was relaxing and rewarding =D. I also had my seminar in class today, which I did not contribute to. I hate participatin in class. >.> It's stupid.
What are other updates of my life? Hmmmm...Geometry sucks. I can't get the hang of proofs, which may be because I missed a day because of doctor's appointment and another from not feeling well. I've missed a lot in chemistry too which is making that class a bit challenging for me.
I've been looking at colleges and though I was planning on staying around the area I may end up going an hour or so away. I've just found other colleges that seem interesting, such as the University of Albany and there's a college in Vermont that looks cool too. =/ but the money issue isn't good. I guess I'll just have to look around and find more info. I hope I'l l find a college that interests me that is around the area, but I'm not going to go to a college that I don't think I'll be happy attending.
Hmm...I turned on the computer to define words for latin...Look how that turned out!!
You're in Paris right now, aren't you? Have fun!! I'm so jealous, that's awesome! I'm sure marsha will treat you =P. Don't be afraid to buy something nice for yourself! On monday I'll try to get on skype for you though I'm staying after for a writing club.
So, I'm going to go work on my Latin, eat a piece of Pizza, and possibly start an essay (which is pretty much the exact same thing that I wrote for my seminar paper...really now, how irritating). Wish me luck!! Best wishes to you in Paris =D send a post card haha.
<3!
Love you soooo much KK!!!!!

Shannon Updates

So as it turns out, if i drop AP English i need to switch my schedule around which I'm really not willing to do. I'm still going to talk to Mr. Frederick and see what his opinion is. Everyone who had him last year said that after the first quarter it gets way better and easier, it's just the first unit that's awful. I hope they're right. I'll just talk to him...
I really love AP US =D I'm doing well in that class and I just handed in my first seminar paper yesterday! =O I'm scared to see how I did haha. We're doing our debate on Thursday, my side being "The founding fathers were not democratic reformers rather they were conservatives" so me and nick are going to wear Anti-Flag tee's and Val is going to wear her Rise Against tee...=D
H/o dinner break.
so that should be pretty exciting. Tomorrow I'm missing math and parts of general chemistry so i can do my math homework that's due tomorrow, tomorrow =D hehe.
Oh, i dyed my hair back to brown but i haven't washed it yet so it will be a few days before I know what it really looks like.
I need to figure out where I'm going to post my homecoming photos. Maybe on facebook I will. We shall see.
My shower calls so I must leave.

I'm superrr sorry i haven't been able to get on skype or anything!! I'll be better about that, I promise, I've been sooo busy. This past weekend was because I was doing my seminar paper and I had so many plans with friends and more homework...ahhhhhH!!

haha, oh RIP coffee pot. Yes, it died. So, we got a new one and it's pretty cool. Only you have to look inside the thing you fill with water to know how much water is in it, which is pretty irritating at times.

I must leave!! It's already 7:30, the sabres game is on, and I haven't showered yet!!

muchhh love kk!! I love yeh! and I'll write you a letter too =D

A break in the life

Dear Shannon-(like, dear abby, hah)
Sooooooo I'm awfully sick of writing my seminar paper, which i have ran out of things to say in though I've only completed 2 pages out of 4. I'm dropping AP english because mommy is sick of seeing me doing so much work every day and I'm continuously stressed out. I want to drop it too. I want some free time in my life, so I'm giong to stick with AP US and get rid of AP english.
So on friday Laura came over after school and our plans changed like 8 times. We ended up going running instead of doing something with Jessie, and she ate at my house instead of going out to eat dinner. Um, we ended up running around Braunview because the track was in use, and all these things kept happening that were hilarious.
Uh...my brain is not functioning tonight if you can't tell.
Today i went to the zoo with amy!! it was so much fun we saw all the animals! The birdies and the poisonous froggies, and the bears! The lions and tigers, oh my! We then went to eat a fantabulous dinner at Tantalus....if that's how you spell it, i have no idea. I then came home, got some coffee, and continued to work on my seminar paper.
Which, is only halfway done.

OHHH we're half way there and OOHHH living on a prayer...

Right...
so tomorrow i may be seeing jess and laura, since jessie lives like 20 minutes away now. and now mocha is barking forociously out the front window and it's bothering my ears. and tuesday i'll get my drop forms from school. woo!!!!
I'll have a much better post later in the week.
My brain is filled with air tonight.

Love you and I hope you're having a lovely sleep this evening en France =D

The Week So Far

So hhmmmm. Let's start with Thursday, shall we?

Thursday:
I got home from school (early, craziness!!) and finished up the last minute details for Carl's gifts. Then he came and picked me up only to drop me off at Floyd's cuz Henrick was ready yay!! His defogger now works more perfectly than he ever has before. You will truly be blown away when you get home and check it out. Then I drove over to Carl's house and we did gifts. I'll upload some pix at a later time and date, but I got from him a beautiful bracelet with 2 heart charms hanging from it. One is a cut-out heart with little 'diamonds' around it and the other is a heart with engravings on both sides. The first side says 'Love You Always' and the second says 'Carl and Heather, October 1st, 2007.

Woohoo!! Good thinking my darling!!

He also got me a little jewelry box that is pink and shaped like a heart to keep the bracelet in. On the top, it says: 'My heart belongs to you now and always!' and there is a little plate on the inside of the top that can be engraved in the future, so we'll probly get that done for some other special occasion!!

And he was gonna get me an edible arrangement, where they make chocolate covered strawbears look like bouquets of roses, but it didn't say how many come in it (and they are mad expensive, so he wanted to know how many id be getting lol), so his mum had her friend make me a cute basket of homemade cookies and homemade chocolate with a lil stuffed bear in a pink Bill's tshirt. It's kinda funny that he was gonna get me the strawbears though, cuz Ashley from my 3 french classes had her anniversary the week before mine and her bf got her the edible arrangement Carl was gonna get me. Kinda weird, huh?

So we just hung out and played darts (my fave!!).

Friday:
I had two classes on Friday, but was hoping I'd get out mad early cuz first was Hovland's class and then I had my English test. Welps, let's just say that my English teacher, as much as I love her, gives long-arse tests. I did manage to get out of there 10 or 15 minutes early, so that's good anyway. But it was allll writing, oh my gosh. So yeah, I get my grade back tomorrow!!

Then I got home and got my stuff together and kissed Mojca goodbye and went to Carl's who didn't have a big enough duffle bag so I had to bring my 2$ one from Sears so he could use that. Luckily, we had gone to AAA in the morning before my classes cuz we were kinda running un peu late for Toronto. But we got there, after sitting in traffic. We took Henrick, but Carl drove (muahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa). It was kinda scary at the border going into Canada though, cuz the guy at customs asked where we were going. We said Toronto for our anniversary and he said, ok goodbye. He didn't even look at our passports!! He didn't even ask for them!! WTF?!?!?!?! It was sooo easy!!!!!!!!

So we got there and found our Holiday Inn easily, but the parking situation was weird, so that took us a minute to figure out. So we had half an hour to get to dinner (we made reservations at this adorable little Italian restaurant called Sputini's). Luckily, it turned out to be right around the corner from our hotel. I posted pix of what Carl and I wore on Facebook, so you can check that out. And yes, those ARE the 4 1/2 Frederick's of Hollywood magenta heels. So there!!

Our dinner was AMAZING!! And the service was probably the best either one of us has ever had. I HIGHLY recommend that you and Jacob go there sometime sooonnnn!! It was expensive, but it was soo worth it. And it was actually only about 25$ CAN a plate, compared to the other fine dining restaurants we looked at, which were around 40$. We had white zinfadel (yummo!!) and I got pasta with shrimp, scallops, and a mixture of mushrooms in some sort of an awesome cream sauce that I have never had before. Carl got a chicken breast smothered in an awesome cream sauce with baby potatoes. And then for dessert (although, before seeing it on the menu, we had totally sworn off dessert) we split a piece of Tiramisu. C'est delicieux!! Oh mon dieu!! We also had salads before dinner, and they had some kind of cheese in it with raspberry or strawberry right in it. Crazy, but soo good!!

I think the best part about the dinner was that we weren't rushed at all. We had dinner reservations at 8 and didn't leave til around well after 9. It was just wonderful!!

Saturday:
We got up, tried to exchange some money for little things, like souvenirs or the bar, but Holiday Inn (of all places) didn't have the $ to exchange more than $100. Like, ok, it's the weekend!! That's the excuse they used, that it's the weekend, so they didn't have any $ to exchange, while in reality, because it's the weekend, they should make extra sure to have that $$. But oh well. I mean, the exchange rate is terrible right now, but we still ended losing a couple dollars here and there when we had to use American money.

We took a cab to the Distillery District, because that's where we thought the Steam Whistle Brewery was, but we were wrong (I was wrong, but don't admit that to Carl). But I'm glad we went there cuz it was sweet. It was a bit rainy, but still nice out. It was just misting, so it kept you refreshed, lol. So then we decided to walk (yes, walk, and when you get home and I show you the map we used, you will truly understand how insane we both are) from the Distillery District to the CN Tower (which, as it turns out, the Steam Whistle Brewery is). So we went to the Brewery. Right away you get a free glass of beer, which is awesome, by the way. And then AFTER you drink half of it, they decide they had better ID you. Crazy Canadians, I'm telling you. We bought the souvenir tour, which was only 8$ per person. So we had to wait cuz it was a little after 12 and the tour wasn't til 130. But we had our beer and then took the tour, which was pretty interesting, and then they gave us ANOTHER free beer and you also got a souvenir, which could be either a glass or a bottle opener. We both of course took the glass. But I'd like to get the bottle opener someday, cuz it's green and mad cool looking. So that was definitely worth our while cuz for 8$ we each got 2 complimentary glasses of mad good beer, a tour, and a glass. Craziness, and I love it!!

And by the way, you don't have to take a tour to get the 1st free glass of beer. You can stop in on your lunch break and get a glass of beer. Why can't they do that here (when I am of age, of course)?!..

Then we walked over to the Hockey Hall of Fame, which was really hard to find. It was in the basement of this mall, only none of the stores were open and most of the places in the food court were closed as well....at 3 or 4 o'clock....on a Saturday....mad sketchy to say the least.

That was lots and lots of fun, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Then we were gonna head over to the CN Tower and hopefully go up it until we realized that we hadn't eaten ANYTHING all day. The beer had honestly filled us up!! So we found the closest restaurant, which was Jack Astor's, which is always a good choice. And it is there that we learned how big Canadian football is in Canada. Now, Kelly, I know what you must be thinking: I've never heard of Canadian football....It actually has a following?!

Yes, dear sister, yes it does. The place was absolutely packed cuz the Toronto team (Argonauts, I wanna say) was playing the Montreal Alouettes (haha). The bar was def a fire hazard and it was just crazy in there. I never woulda thought. I know I've blown you away, so I'll give you a moment to catch your breath.

....
....
(moment is passing)
....
....

So then we decided to walk allllll the way back to the hotel. Now, if you get a chance to, look up Front Street and then look up directions from Front Street to Bloor Street West. You will then see what I mean when I say allllllllllll the way back to the hotel.

And of course, we had decided to make this long journey because it had turned into a beautiful day. But not even halfway back, it began to storm: rain, thunder, lightning, the sky was even a funking color. So that was fun.... We walked all the way up Yonge Street and down Bloor. Quite good exercise, I will say that much. So we changed out of our wet clothes at the hotel and Erin Griffin (yes, Tom Griffin's older-29-year old sister) texted Carl to meet her at a sports bar....halfway back down Yonge Street. AAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! But we did it, cuz we wanted to watch the game and Erin had been awesome and called all around to see who would be playing the game, and this place (it was called Hoops) gave us a table with our own lil flat-screen tv with the Sabres-Habs game on it!! Yay!! And I will now say that your BF sux and that Montreal's first goal should DEF NOT HAVE COUNTED!!

But, let's move on, shall we?!:

That was fun. The 3 of us spend 90$ on drinks (and 1 sandwich for Erin). Hahahahaa. No one was drunk or buzzed cuz it lasted us the whole game, but we sure did order enough Rum n Cokes, I'll say that much.

Sunday:
Sunday was planned to just chill out and go to the Harbourfront. But we wanted to go to the CN Tower, which was mad cool. However, as you may have guessed right away, we did not go up it, only stood at the foot of it. I wanted to go, and Carl said he would have, but I feared I would faint, or cry, or face certain death, so we decided that 23$ is too much $$ to spend if we are not going to enjoy something. So next time....until I'm standing at the foot of it looking way the heck up there!! Lol!!

So the harbourfront was right near by there so we went there and walked around. It was a little cool, but that makes for a perfect fall day, which is what it was. We found this awesome restaurant to eat lunch at, which looked like the inside of a ship on the inside!! And on the wall right next to our table were gauges that looked like the ones in U-571 when they keep sinking!! muahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only I forgot to take a picture.... :( I had planned on it on our way out, but I honestly just remembered about it now.

So then we left, and sure enough, just as we pulled onto the thruway, it started to pour. Now, I didn't mention that the whole drive there it was pouring rain. So Carl (hehehehe) got to drive all the way back home in the rain as well.. And we had the pleasure of seeing a crazy speeder, you know, the kinds that weave in and out of lanes and it's mad stupid and dangerous, get pulled over!! That was the best feeling in the world!!

We got home and Carl's mum invited me over for dinner so after some coffee at home, I went there and had dindin, but was also forced to watch the Bill's game. Yay, lucky me, right?!

So that was Toronto, and it was absolutely wonderful!!

Monday:
School, work

Tuesday:
School, work, work on Preliminary Bibliography til 130am

Wednesday:
School, find out I can't hand in the Bib for Anthro class cuz she's crazy, work

Thursday:
School, got my bracelet sized by this cute old Polish guy who got his jeweller's certificate in 1955!!, lessons, then had to see the most boring play ever for my Theatre class at Buff State. Lucky me.

The acting was truly phenominal, but I hated the storyline. It was based on the Scarlet Letter, so maybe if I had read that, I would've liked this play better, but I just disliked the whole plotline. But the actors were amazing, I will certainly say that much.

The Sabres BEAT the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1(isn't it kinda funny that the 1st two teams we played were Montreal and Phoenix....Jacob connection right there). Clarke MacArthur and Thomas Vanek, although I only got to watch the first 15 minutes of it, cuz of the dumb play I had to go to!! AAHHHH!!!!!!!!

So today was like, eh, I just wanted it to be tomorrow. Except right now, I'm pretty content with my hot cocoa (although, I think it might be cold cocoa now :( ). Tomorrow I have French with Hovland and then English and then bowling. Nice and relaxing I can't wait!! I usually see Hildegarde before that French class and she knows me and even my name (crazy good memory!!) and always asks how you are doing!! I'll have to tell her your going to Munich (right, Munich?!), she'll be so thrilled!!

Before I part with you, I must say this: next Wednesday, I have the good fortune to work 9am-12, go to school, and then work 5:15-9 (or later) pm, although I do have class early on Thursday, so I'm leaving at 9, regardless. We have a big corporate (oooo, scurred!!) visit on Thursday. I hate my life. Just kidding, lol. I also HAD to switch to direct deposit cuz Sears is being gay and no longer sending out paychecks: it's either direct deposit or some payroll card, which I've never heard of before, so why the f would I get that?! I'm pretty pissed about it, though, cuz I like to physically put my $$ into my bank account. That way I know it is there. I'm seriously gonna be calling the bank every day to make sure my checks went through. Damn $$.

Ok, I better go to bed cuz I'm mad tired. It's 12:22 in the morning and I was up since 6:30am!!

Luvvies sooo much, my deary,
me!! *grosses bises* haha

the interesting day of the week

shannon here. so this week has been slightly interesting. h/o i need water...

okay so yesterday laura and i walked over to jessie's new house after school. it's sooo cute!! it's colonial style, only it's from the 1800's i believe. the door handles are really close to the ground and the frames are also really low. her bedroom is very small but adorable=]. the house is hugeeeeee.
as we were walking from jessie's house to the high school to watch her volleyball game, this kid that goes to our school pulled over (barely pulled over, he was still in the lane) and offered us a ride. being smart, we said no. right after we denied him, this old man pulls over, honks his horn furiously, and then starts yelling at him. he asked me on facebook if i didn't trust his driving skills and i told him no, then saying we just had to walk to the high school. he seemed quite offended.
we trudged onto the highschool and as jessie and her team were warming up, music was playing and the football players were watching. me and laura were playing miss mary mack while dancing to the beat of the music when we look down and see a football player filming us with his phone...when he saw us looking he quickly put the phone away...
we laughed hilariously and have to wonder who has seen this awesome video of us. we must be famous.=D

haha, yeah that was my interesting day. oh, we watched the silent dracula in class which was pretty amusing and i guess we're taking a field trip to go on a ghost walk which i am pretty excited for =D.

today i just had val, laura, and amy over for the opener and jake came too. the canadiens won...grrrrrrr.

<3 youuu i'll post soon =D
mocha says hi!!

2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN 9 MINUTES!!!!!!!!

Bonjour, ma petite!! It's me and Carl's 2 year anniversary in 8 minutes now!! Woohoo!! I have been working on his gifties. I bought a plain black frame from Target and printed out Bill's logos and glued them onto it. Carl has a picture of me in his Bill's jersey cuz of when we went to the Bill's game last December and I nearly froze to death/blew away. But yeah, I have to somehow sneak that guy into the frame tomorrow lol. I'll have to use my super awesome stealth skills. Lol, remember when we were younger and everytime we heard a loud airplane, you'd go, "It's a stealth!" Hahahahahaa.

So work has been absolutely ridic lately. I mean, I've worked Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night this week and every night has been crazy busy! On weekday nights! At the end of September! It's supposed to be dead until right up around Thanksgiving, I just don't get it. Then again, maybe these are all the people who shopped for boots last minute last year and now don't wanna miss out on their shoe sizes this year, huh? Doubt it.... Maybe people are just being more economical by buying stuff now so they have more time to save for Christmas stuff. That's probly it, I'm guessing.

So I couldn't go into school on Tuesday (4 minutes!!). I had typhoid fever. Just kidding, the street flooded really really badly, like way worse than I've ever seen it. It was up to our driveway, and it usually never passes the Milton's mailbox!! So it was Anna's turn to drive but she had the radio on (I was just gonna cut throught lawns and walk around the flood) and the radio people said that the Skyway was closed and that because of that, the 219 was backed up wayyy before we would get on!! Plus they even said that most of the exits into the city were flooded cuz of how they are designed. Then we took into account that on Monday when it had been raining all day, parts of the parking lots were already flooded and we had both hydroplaned (1 MINUTE!!) through campus....

2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....so we both decided it was better to stay at home. So I missed my first class (M. White's) and then was like, huh, I'll go in for my later class (Phonetics with McKee -- LOVE that name!!), but the water was a little high still, and after what happened last time, I will never venture through a big puddle again, even if it's barely 2 inches lol. But can you blame me?!

So Henrick's getting his defogger fixed right now. But he should hopefully be ready before Friday because (if you don't mind of course) he has to drive Carl and me to Toronto because Carl's car is all fucked up. Ohhh nooo. Not again!!

But yeah, it must be done.

I had to drive the Trooper today for the first time in like a week because of this little incident and I was terrified the whole entire day because last time I drove it (well, I never actually got around to driving it that day), I opened the door up and this huge (I'm actually NOT exagerating right now) lime and dark green and white and clear spider fell from the top of the door from this chunk of white web (EWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and crawled right into a little crevice by the seat. I had mum search high and low for it yesterday, but it was no where to be found. But I know it's waiting for me....I just know it.

So I got to watch Ghost Hunters tonight (not that I'm rubbing it in or anything) and we decided as a family that it's better that you can't watch it because you'd be all alone in your apartment and we'd be on the phone with you for half the night cuz you'd have no one to protect you lol. Don't deny it, we all know it's the truth.

I will scan your AG listy thingy tomorrow, I promise.

Luvvies sooooooo much,

me!!

Sabres Puck Drop 2009 + Some

Alrighty, so now that a week + some has passed since the annual puck drop I have decided that now would probably be the best time to type my heart away. The puck drop was exciting, as one could guess. First things first: I believe the first thing we did was buy tickets for a game in march =]. I'm not sure if anyone has told you the news, but yes we are goin to another game wooo!!! ( i just lost the game ) Afteward, we decided (we bein' me, amy, laura, and val) to get in the long line to get autographs, which was located out front. As we step in line, the evil security men inform us that the people ahead of where they were standing were the only ones getting autographs and that we would not. We didn't really care, we waited for a while for the select Sabres to impress their presence among the crowd. Thing is, after about 15 minutes me and amers went to sit with mother a little away from the line (which kept growing despite the security men's cries) and another....45 minutes - hour? that laura and val were waiting (they just wanted pictures if they could get anything else). After a while, Laura and Val call us over and tell the dreadful news that no sabres may be coming out to sign after all (they were eavesdropping on the security guard's radio). After 15 more minutes of waiting, we decided to go inside and eat for most of us hadn't any food all day and were starving by that point. We ate as we pleased.
During which Amy, mother, and I ate, Laura and Val reserved seats for us down by the glass to watch the rookie game. As the rookies rode past laura would make rather amusing faces into the glass, which got a few of them to stare at us and make weird faces. At the end Val and Laura were shouting into a hole, begging for pucks. Because number 12 was starting to get agitated with us (plus after he gave two other kids pucks on the other side of the arena, he had no choice) he handed a puck through the hole, which Val grabbed first =p. OHH!! Laura was begging Gerber for a puck for a while, and they actually conversed. "Can i have a puckkk?" "i dont think we have extras" "YES YOU DO THERES A BOX FULL OF THEM RIGHT OVER THERE!" and he laughed and skated away =]
okay maybe not a convo convo, but hey it's better than nothing.
sooo, that was entertaining.

as for the past two weeks, theyve been boring and hard. yuck, im exhausted. I kind of want some popcorn too. hmm...
I have confirmation later, i'm not pleased.
And that sophomore kid continues to stare at me. Plus I have another sophomore kid now too, who sits next to me in latin, and jessie claims he stares at me creepishly throughout the class...he does try to talk to me. Now the latter kid is truly strange, not to mention rude. He's sooo rude to my latin teacher!!!
*ahem*
homecoming this weekend and i am getting uber excited =D afterward, I'm sleeping at jessie's new house yay!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to here from ya kk,

Shannon's Adventures!

So, Shannon's adventures have been wild so far.
Actually, I'd have to say they've gone down in wild-ness since the start of school.
Last weekend I spent the whole weekend doing homework!! Long weekend mind you!!
I had to read 62 pages for english, annotate a Pericles speech plus do an essay on how Pericles speaks, read for latin and make flash cards, do a fright fiction journal, do some general chem homework, read 20 pages for ap us and a chart for it, memorize vocab words for ap english and ahhh!! by the end i was about to scream!!
I was seriously considering dropping ap english, but today our essays were returned and I got a 18/20. Our counselors adviced us at a thingy this morning to do the class that will be most challenging, based on our needs. PSAT sign ups are tomorrow, I'm going first thing in the morning as to ensure I get a spot.
Fright Fiction has to be the best class I have ever taken in my life!! Yesterday all we did was listen to music from horror films and tell from which film they're in. It totally made my day. The kids in the class are all seniors and though the guys are obnoxious at times, they're actually nice and easy to converse with. Mr. Brach is hilarious. Fright Fiction has to be the most laid back class I've ever had the pleasure of being in.
AP US is okay, though there is so much info to take in it's hard to keep up...I'm hoping that this weekend will be my catch up time. General Chem is somewhat challenging though it makes more sense to me then bio did.
Geometry has been annoying because we're doing review, of algebra of course. Awfulness. I can't do algebra to save my life. Though I do have a rather amusing story from it:
Over the course of the first few days of my lovely (joke) seni...(wait...i'm only dreaming of my attitude this time next year)*ahem* Junior year, I sat next to a few sophomore boys and conversed with them a few times about math, exhibiting my spazztic nature as I usually do around younger folk. One of these kids kept staring at me every day in class, and finally yesterday when we were to keep our chosen seats for the remainder of the year, he argued with his little buddy about switching his seat with him...he preferred to sit in the seat behind moi. His friend wouldn't let him. At this point, I had my suspicians. Today, at the end of class the three small wittle boys were speaking quietly, then one spoke just a tad bit louder, quote "she's so hot and I could have sat right next to her, you ruined it!" please note, I am the only girl in his specified vicinity. So uh...I giggled. He's like a foot shorter than me, curly blonde hair, and blue eyes. I can tell this is going to be an amusing year...
Anywho, puck drop saturday wooo!! I'm hoping, rather furiously hoping, I'll get all of my work done this weekend! <3
Updates shall come at a later time, hee =D

The Last Few Days

Hmmm....I have been quite busy, not gonna lie, Kelly. I had that dumb meeting Saturday morning, then got to go home for a few hours, then had to go back to work from 3-9, then worked 10:30-6 on Sunday, then had class on Monday from 1-4:15 and work at 5:15, then class Tuesday (I go in early with our dearest Anna) 8:30-2:55 (my class isn't until 10:50). Then I had work from 5-9, then Wednesday was the same as Monday, and now here I sit on Thursday. I don't have work, but lessons are in a little bit and I am not looking forward to them for the first time in a while cuz I'm pretty beat right now.

Right now, I am typing this to you, drinking some coffee, complaining in my head about my tummy ache/indigestion/I can't really figure out what it is exactly. Oh yea, Carl is also texting me his fantasy football passwords so that I (that's right, HEATHER) can UPDATE his FOOTBALL TEAM. He thinks I am capable of far too much. But I will do as I am told. He started his long shifts today, and was soooo dead most of the day so far, but he had a sonoma turkey burger for lunch (I thought you'd want to know) and has since felt better.

I talked to Jacob today. Well, actually, I totally texted him yesterday asking him how he's doing and he said ok but he misses you and then he asked me if I would go to the Apple Store with him sometime so he can use me for a discount. Muahaha. Don't worry, I said yes. So he texted me today and we have decided to go Saturday afternoon. I get out of work at 2 so I guess we'll go sometime after that.

So my classes have been ok. I really like Hovland's, especially since she figured out how to put all the notes on Angel. I don't have to frantically write everything down just to find out later that it is ilegible!! Woohoo!! I really like Phonetics. Everyone else is having problems in it, but I got a 22 out of 20 on the first quiz which I thought was mad easy so yay!! I just attended my first 496 class today. The interview went well on Tuesday, he just said I have to speak faster (which is a problem for me in english, so we'll have to see how that goes!). It was typical M. White class. Anthropology should be harder, but my teacher is like 80 and so out of touch with the world. It takes her at least 20 minutes to set up everyday. It's pretty funny, not gonna lie. Theatre is mad easy. I highly recommend easy online classes. And English is also easy. We read a few chapters for each class and then spend the whole class discussing them and how they have to do with women in society. The teacher is great though, she's young and her name in Lorna (which I LOVE!!) and she has mad cute shoes!!

Guess what Miss Anna suckered me into doing?! I get to sit through (yet another) study abroad meeting! Like wtf?! Kill me now!!

I'm gonna end it here, my dear, cuz I want to have give myself time before lessons, but I shall write tomorrow!! And possibly later tonight!! And I want pictures!!

Oh, and by the way, I totally declared my minor!! It took all of 2 seconds!!

Luvvies sooooo much,
me!!

Shannon here.

So, for beginners I THOUGHT the first day of school went well:
Friends in classes, teachers I like, one of the two juniors in my fright fiction class.
I thought wrong.
After doing the easy AP us homework, I pulled out my AP english.
I died a little inside.
Now, after attempting to do annotates (however you say them), I am completely exhausted at ten o'clock and wish to go to bed. Needless to say, I killed my homework more than I ever thought possible.
However, KK, I hope France is continuing to treat you well.
Tomorrow I will post, with a somewhat more optimisitic update of my life.
Nighty-night.
-The Shannans.
I dont really know what the point of this post is...
I do like Latin though. =D Jessie sits behind me, always a plus.

Today today today....

Hiya Kelly! Today was ok. I had the weirdest dream last night and the only thing I can remember is Megan was in a poofy prom dress at the mall (although it looked like no mall I've ever seen) and Megan Paddy (you remember her!!) was following her around and it was really sketchy. And then Melly popped out of nowhere in a hideous colorful poofy prom dress and gave me money to buy you a present at Hot Topic, where is where I was apparently working.... It was an ugly sweater thing and I said "Ok....I know she'll love it...." Haha.

I didn't have M. White's class, woohoo. But Phonetics has been quite fun, I will not lie. I love Mme. McKee, she's such a sweet old lady. And she goes so nice and slow and makes sure everyone understands the content before moving on. I saw Merini today and she sends her regards!

I promise to text Jacob later this week to come over for dinner or something :)

Oh my god -- I have seen Ben Stack at fucking Sears wayyyyyy too much lately!! Can God NOT spare me one single shift of happiness?! Obviously no..

I hear you are having a wonderful time in La Rochelle. I want to talk to you! I'm going to try calling around 3 my time, 9 yours, so you better not be sleeping! I loved your blog, the Shannans and I read it with great relish. LOL.

I'm very happy your room is so awesome. And kudos for opting for that package, cuz you would've been absolutely miserable in a room like Alex's! You better post photos asap, not only of you, but of Alex as well. Also, does she maybe have a Facebook or a Myspace so that I can add her as a friend?!

I have to finish up some 306 hw....blah! A quick reading avec six questions. It's about the Roman influence on Provence and blah blah blah. But it talks about 2 ruins I learned about in Art History, La Maison carree and Le Pont du Gard!! Yay!! It makes me feel smart, don't laugh.

I'll let you go now, my dear!

Luvvies sooo much!,
me!! (by the way, I have to give the Shannans the password so she can write to you as well. I'll do that soon....when I'm done hogging you!!)

AVON ORDER SUBMITTED!!

Yay!! I did it!! I'm glad to hear that you made it ok, ma petite. I saw Hildegarde aujourd'hui and she sends her regards!!

Also, Henrick's triangular light with the exclamation point inside decided to start coming on every time I break along with the pic of the lil oil dripper. Like wtf?

Mochas doing just fine, dont worry about her. If we say your name she tilts her cute lil head to the side, but shes as happy as ever. And of course your bed is all hers, as usual.

So I dont even even have Monsieur White's class til next Thursday! He's doing 15 minute interviews with all 7 of us to see where we are in the langue. So I get to go in on Tuesday at like 11:45. It's pretty sweet, not gonna lie.

I hope you are having a wonderful time, my dear Giles!

Luvvies soooooooo.... much,
me!!

Aujourd'hui, ma petite..

Kelly, aujourd'hui, j'ai rencontre Dr. McKee.

Hahahaha. Please don't kill me for writing in French!! I have to write a paragraph on what a good friend is for Monsieur White, and I haven't written any french all summer. Thus, you are my guinea pig, my dear (although, nothing new there, huh?!).

Monsieur White, although I missed his class, happened to stop by Dr. McKee's class before it started (I think he just happened to be walking by and noticed us sitting there). Anyway, he came in and said hello and said 'Kelly left for France today?!' And then he inquired as to whether or not you were excited and ready and what not.

Yay!!

I hope you're having a wonderful time in La Rochelle, my little Sketch.

Love you soo much, and do expect at least one post a day from either myself or from the Shannans (or anyone else who happens to be around whilest I am typing to you!!)

Luvvies,
me

A Bientot, Ma Jumelle!!

Oh mon dieu, KK, I totally forgot to tell you about the dream I had last night! You saved me from an axe murderer -- no lie!! First, Carl and I were being chased by him in a little row boat, almost like a canoe and the evil doer almost got us. So then we ran into a lake house where all our friends and family were and had to hide, but all the good hiding spots were taken, so I had to hide behind a couch. That is the first place he looked!! He tried killing me with the axe, but I kept backing up and then you came to my rescue with a shiny metal pipe thinger and fought him off like sword fighting. It was pretty sweet, not gonna lie.

We are eating bagels and drinking coffee. Yummo!!

Mocha wants my bagel. Asiago flavored. Not gonna happen, poochka.

Love,
me!!
